The lunch will take place at Lake Weeroona between 11am and 3pm and will be open to the community.
Organiser Matthew Rowlands said donations would help those looking for company on a day when many feel isolated.
This year, families and friendship groups are also being urged to attend.
"We've extended it this year to the broader community because we don't want to segregate people. We want to bring them together on Christmas Day," Mr Rowlands said.
"It's even for people who might have already had a Christmas breakfast with their family to come down, hangout and be part of the community."
The lunch will not be the only one for people to gather at on Christmas Day.
Another will be held at the All Seasons Hotel, but registrations for that event closed earlier this month.
