Police have charged a 76-year-old man with more than 20 historical sexual offences allegedly committed in the 1970s and 1980s.
Dr David Frederick Miller appeared in Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Wednesday via video link from the Bendigo police station cells, for a filing hearing.
Dr Miller is charged with 19 counts of indecent and unlawful assault, which allegedly occurred in Bendigo between 1976 and 1981.

Charge sheets show that these were allegedly committed against at least one woman and one girl.
Dr Miller is accused of committing rape in 1978, and an indecent assault between 1982 and 1983, both alleged offences having happened in Bendigo.
He is also charged with two counts of indecent assault in relation to alleged offences committed in Wangaratta between 1981 and 1983.
Dr Miller will appear in court in April next year for a committal mention.
