Police are investigating after a car left the road and crashed into a road sign, a culvert and a fence in Maldon.
The incident started on Lowther Street about 7.30pm.
It culminated in a man and a white Mitsubishi SUV being located in Reef Street, following information from the public.

Police believe the man and the vehicle were involved in what is considered a hit-run.
The man is believed to be the only injured party.
Police said he was taken to Bendigo Hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators have encouraged anyone with information or with dash-cam footage to contact Castlemaine Police Station on 5470 4100.
