Bendigo Golf Club is preparing for three big days of competition on the course this weekend.
In the feature event of the 2019 Christmas Challenge, the club champion Jarrett Miles will be playing with fellow Bendigo golfer and European Tour player Lucas Herbert in the Saturday 4BBB.
The tournament starts on Thursday with the ladies hitting the course for a 4BBB competition, with a mixed four person Ambrose on Friday and the 4BBB on Saturday.
BGC manager Liam Carney said the aim of the challenge was to bring members and guests together.
"We want to get people outdoors playing golf and enjoying our course," he said.
"The ground staff have worked hard to get the course in top condition for what is our major event of the year."
Carney said it was an opportunity to see two of the region's best golfers in action.
"Lucas is a European Tour player from Bendigo, there's a few personal connections with him and the members.
"Jarrett is our club champion and one of our younger members who has put a lot of time into his golf this year, it will be a good chance to match his skills against Lucas."
Miles recently won the Bendigo GC club championship after claiming victory over Geoff Viney, in an impressive performance which included a hole-in-one on the par-three 17th.
