ELMORE reasserted its authority in the Northern United Cricket Association on Saturday, inflicting Colbinabbin's first loss of the season.
In the first meeting between the two this season after their earlier match was washed out, the Redbacks returned to the top of the ladder with a seven-wicket victory at Colbinabbin.
The Ducks posted 152 off their 40 overs batting first with the innings held together by Hamish Hooppell.
Batting at No.3 Hooppell carried on the foundation laid by openers Chris Guinane (28) and Brian Dwyer (15), who put on 46 for the first wicket.
Hooppell compiled 73 with six boundaries and one six, while Shivam Goel cleaned up late with the ball for Elmore.
The sixth bowler used, Goel bagged 5-21 off seven overs.
Elmore comfortably chased down its target, taking just 29 overs to answer with 3-155.
James Harney led the way for the Redbacks with an unbeaten 59, while Luke Price chipped in with 37.
