Christmas cheer is building, with a number of festive events held in the Bendigo area at the weekend.
Sunday night saw the annual Eaglehawk carols in Canterbury Park, which featured the Sing Australia choir, local school choirs, the Our Place Minstrels and the Eaglehawk Citizens Brass Band to entertain the crowds.
The Marist Brass Band also hosted a carols event in Sacred Heart Cathedral, while the Axedale community enjoyed carols performed by the local kindergarten, school and the choir.
Earlier in the day the Bendigo Chamber Choir, Bendigo Chamber Orchestra and soloists put on a musical event Come Sing Christmas in the Bendigo Town Hall.
"It's a lovely venue to make music in, to have music in," composer Michael Bottomley said.
The concert featured John Tungyep as organ soloist, Louise Clarke was the soprano soloist, and bass soloist was Peter Hunt.
"We always look forward to presenting our Christmas concert," Mr Bottomley said.
The 2019 Bendigo Christmas Concert also took place on Sunday afternoon, as did the Bendigo and Central Goldfields Bush Poets concert.
On Saturday, Enjoy Church held carols sessions and Epsom put on its Community Christmas Festival.
More Christmas events are yet to come, including the Strathfieldsaye carols, Heathcote's carols, and Carols By Candlelight, among others.
