Hayfever and seasonal asthma sufferers in central Victoria might feel the effects of their conditions more acutely on Sunday.
The University of Melbourne's pollen count service has set the forecast count at extreme in the Northern Country, North Central and Central forecast districts.
However, the forecast for Bendigo on Sunday is high.
The epidemic thunderstorm asthma forecast is low, but is expected to rise to moderate on Monday.
This means that one of the elements necessary for an epidemic thunderstorm asthma event - high pollen forecast or a severe thunderstorm with strong winds - will be present.
Those with asthma or hayfever are advised to avoid being outside during thunderstorms from October to December, particularly during wind gusts that precede a storm.
They should have knowledge of the four steps of asthma first aid, and those with asthma should have an action plan.
Reliever medication should be available.
