
Detectives have charged a man with various offences - including impersonating police - after a police uniform and jewellery were taken from a Dunolly home.
The 25-year-old Whittington man was charged by members of the Central Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit with burglary, theft, theft of a motor vehicle, impersonating police, assaulting police, possessing a controlled weapon, and other related offences.
The man was arrested on Friday following a burglary that occurred in Dunolly about 4.30pm that day.
Police attended and patrolled the area, during which time they arrested the man and also found a vehicle believed stolen.
The man was remanded in custody to appear at the Bendigo Magistrates' Court on Monday.
