A Stawell woman charged over a crash which killed four grandmothers on their way home from a night of line dancing will ask the court for a sentence indication.
Lorraine Nicholson, 65, was found not guilty of four counts of culpable driving causing death over the quadruple fatality at Navarre on May 5, 2018.
A jury could not reach a majority verdict on four alternative charges of dangerous driving causing death in October. The jury was discharged.
Nicholson's case, of the four remaining charges, was listed for a directions hearing at the County Court on Thursday morning.
Crown prosecutor Andrew Moore said it was agreed between the prosecution and defence Nicholson was prepared to consent to a summary jurisdiction hearing.
"There has been some developments in this case," Mr Moore said.
"Our suggestion is a mention before Judge (Michael) Bourke to fix a date (for a sentence indication hearing)."
Judge Gerard Mullaly said it was appropriate to list the case before Judge Bourke as soon as possible.
He said if a sentence indication was not accepted, a trial date would need to be obtained.
Nicholson was not in court for the brief hearing on Thursday. The judge extended her bail until December 18.
The accused woman's Jeep T-boned a Kia driven by Hamilton's Elaine Middleton, 64, and carrying passengers Margaret Ely, 74, also of Hamilton, Heywood's Dianne Barr, 64, and Portland's Claudia Jackson, 72, at the intersection of Stawell-Avoca Road and Ararat-St Arnaud Road at 6pm on May 5, 2018.
The four women, who were returning home after attending a line-dancing competition in St Arnaud, died from their injuries at the scene.
A seven-day trial was held at the County Court at Ballarat before Judge Michael Bourke in October.
