A LOCALLY-PRODUCED album for the Tyson Hodges Trio will launch on Friday night.
The debut album is a long time coming for the Bendigo band who has been a feature in the local music scene for 15 years.
Band members Tyson Hodges, Josh DeAraugo and Bradley Bradford recorded the nine-track album at Ladd Studios in Bendigo late last year.
The album is a mix of new and old material and will launch will be at Handle Bar on Friday night.
"I feel like we got the best of both worlds on this album," Hodges said. "The 'live in the room' elements combined with the necessary overdubs to give it an edge.
"I wanted this record to give listeners a different experience to what they hear live.
"It's definitely a challenge recording instrumental music that can hold the listeners attention, but one I've always enjoyed."
Local musician, artist and band friend Broden Penna did the artwork for the album.
"Broden is a very talented guy and he got my design ideas and concept of the album straight away," Hodges said. "We were absolutely blown away with the end result."
