UPDATE Monday, 8am: The victim of Sunday evening's crash in Maiden Gully was a 29-year-old man from Eaglehawk, police confirmed.
The crash scene has been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
UPDATE 8.25pm: Police have confirmed a 29-year-old man has died at the scene.
Emergency services were called to the crash on Edwards Road, between Lyndam Avenue and Smith Road, shortly before 8pm.
EARLIER: Emergency services are on scene of a serious crash at Maiden Gully.
Traffic is being diverted away from Edwards Road.
Motorists should avoid the area.
