Hundreds of people found a spot on the lawn in Rosalind Park for a night of Christmas songs, entertainment from Connected Circus and musician Sherri Parry and children's activities.
Featuring red and gold baubles and a vast array of lights, the tree will be officially lit up by City of Greater Bendigo mayor Margaret O'Rourke.
The night also launched this year's Bendigo Summer in the Parks Program which features dozens of community events in December, January and February.
Rosalind Park will get festive again when it hosts the Rotary Club of Bendigo Carols by Candlelight on December 22 from 6.30pm.
