Painted Words 2019 has been produced by the students in what is believed to be one of the few remaining print writing journals in Australia, and forms part of an advanced editing and project management unit undertaken as part of the course.
This year's production team includes Deanna Jerman, Anita Le Lievre, Jasmine Marek, Nick Ramage, Darcy Sceney and Harry Wilkie-Ryan.
This year's edition offers more than 121,000 words across 500 pages filled with 118 pieces of writing by 26 emerging writers.
Their works include poetry, short stories, science fiction, screenplays, novel extracts and non-fiction.
Graduates from the Bendigo course have gone to achieve great success in the writing industry.
One now enjoys an international readership for her science fiction romance novels, while another publishes sci-fi and military horror anthologies.
Tim Miller of Deadpool and Terminator: Dark Fate fame adapted one of his anthologies for the acclaimed Netflix series, Love, Death and Robots earlier this year.
Other graduates have gone on to work in journalism, public relations and screen writing, while some have also excelled at university, earning bachelor degrees, Masters degrees and PhDs.
Painted Words 2019 will be officially launched by Bendigo Weekly editor Peter Kennedy on Wednesday, November 27.
