The award is in recognition of the pool's Junior Volunteer Team program which, now in its second year, provides valuable hands-on experience for teenagers.
Golden Square Pool President Sam Kane said the award was testament for the organisation's work in embracing and empowering young people.
"Our Junior Volunteer Team members are integral to the running of Golden Square Pool, in providing valuable assistance in operating the kiosk, our Community Garden, and undertaking maintenance," he said.
"They are learning so many valuable skills in customer service, working as part of a team, and being part of something.
"I'm so proud of every single young person involved in our organisation, their families, and what we're doing as a community."
There are 25 young people involved in the program, adding to the 70 volunteers involved in the facility.
"Our pool is a place of inclusion and of all people coming together for the benefit of Golden Square and Bendigo," Mr Kane said.
The award comes after the organisation last month won the state Community Group Award at the Victorian Regional Achievement and Community Awards.
