The 35-year-old is competing in the Asian Tour's Sabah Masters on the island of Borneo.
Martin will tee up in round one alongside Kwanchai Tannin and Chanyoung Park tomorrow at 3.15pm AEDT.
The tournament is held at the Sutera Harbour Golf and Country Club.
Martin is currently 89th on the Asian Tour standings. He needs to be inside the top 60 by the end of the season to retain his card for 2020.
He jumped up several spots after a recent strong T4 performance at the Thailand Open.
Martin had a birdie putt on the final hole to make his way into a play-off to decide the competition.
However, the putt went wide and he was forced to settle for a tie for fourth - his best finish on the Asian Tour.
