A grass fire near Rochester is under control.
Update, 11.55am
The Country Fire Authority has issued an advice message for residents in Ballendella, Fairy Dell, Nanneella and Strathallan.
The CFA spokesperson said the grass fire at Burgoine Road, Strathallan is not yet under control and is travelling towards the river reserve.
There is currently no threat to residents.
The CFA is encouraging people to keep roads clear so emergency services can respond.
Smoke will be visible from nearby communities and roads.
At least 10 CFA crews and Forest Fire Management are responding to the fire.

The Country Fire Authority is responding to a grass and scrub fire near Rochester.
Crews were called to the blaze on Burgoine Road, Strathallan about 11.19am.
The fire is not yet under control.
