A former Marong footballer ran more than 30 kilometres on Saturday to raise funds for Movember.
Bryce Franzini, 26, ran from Bridgewater to Bendigo as part a 60-kilometre effort to support the men's health and prostate cancer initiative.
"The idea was to run 60 kilometres for the 60 men we lose every hour," Mr Franzini said. "Originally, I ran the 10 kilometres from my place in Lara to the golf course and back.
"I then ran 20 kilometres last weekend from my place in Lara to nine kilometres short of Werribee. That was a pretty big run."
Mr Franzini reached 60 kilometres with the 30.8-kilometre run on Saturday.

He said the runs have been a real family affair, with his parents, brothers and partner joining in.
"I've had some pretty big help from my partner Zoe," he said. "She helped me out last weekend with the 20 kilometres.
"My family this week have all pitched in and ran alongside me for some of the way and it's been amazing. It's really inspired my family, and probably others, to go out and be fit."
Although he was exhausted from the run, Mr Franzini said he was glad he supported such an important initiative.
"It's a good cause and we're trying to raise some money for it," he said. "I know it has affected a lot of people and it's just good to get out and do it."
Mr Franzini's mother Vicki said she was proud her son took on a cause close to her heart.
"To me, it's a really big thing because I lost my dad to cancer at 38 years old," she said. "So I think it's great that Bryce is bringing this attention to men's health because 38 is too young."
Now he has finished the 60 kilometres, Mr Franzini said it was time for a rest.
"I think I'll have a bit of break now and enjoy a nice few frothies and a nice parmi or something," he laughed. "That would be good."
Mr Franzini said anyone who wanted to support his cause could do so at au.movember.com/mospace/14127467
