Aimie Brown has been named as the new coach of the Mean Machine.
Brown, who was with Elmore for the past five years, has extensive netball experience as a coach and player.
The appointment marks Brown's first stint as an A-grade coach, a welcome challenge she is more than ready to conquer.
"Yes. It will be challenging," Brown said.
"But we're going to have a really good group of girls on the team who all have a lot of talent.
"It was just too good of an opportunity to say no. I knew it was time to take my coaching to the next level and it was also a great fit for my family and I," Brown said.
Among the players already named on the squad is Claudia Powell who coached Bridgewater to its 2018 LVFNL A-grade premiership.
Bridgewater netball operations manager Georgia Hore was thrilled to have Brown leading the team in 2020.
"Everything Aimie is about is in-line with what we want to achieve, she is a great fit for the team," Hore said.
"She has shown nothing but dedication and commitment and we haven't even started the season yet."
Brown - who is a school teacher - said communication was one of her strongest attributes as a coach.
"My strengths definitely come in the way of my communication and organisation skills," Brown said.
Coaching the A-grade squad is the forefront of her focus, but hasn't ruled out playing with one of the club's teams.
"Coaching is definitely the first thing on my mind," Brown said
"But I might run around with one of the lower grade teams, I still really enjoy playing. We will just wait and see what happens."
This season the Mean Machine had a strong year in the 2019 Loddon Valley Football Netball League.
The team made it to the preliminary finals, but was then defeated by Newbridge in a 24-point upset, final scores 36-60.
