STRATHDALE-Maristians' leg-spinner Cameron Taylor holds the mantle as the Bendigo District Cricket Association's most dominant bowler of the past decade.
Throughout the BDCA's 10 seasons from 2009-10 to 2018-19, Taylor captured 279 wickets for the Suns to be the most prolific wicket-taker of the decade.
He led the BDCA in wickets in each of the past three seasons, while he was the Suns' top wicket-taker seven times for the decade with a best return of 49 last season.
Taylor's superb decade also includes the most five-wicket hauls of the past 10 seasons with 18, including a best of 9-66 against Strathfieldsaye in 2016-17.
Taylor is one of four players - along with Bendigo United's Nick Crawford (13), Kangaroo Flat's Adam Burns (12) and Sandhurst and Strathdale-Maristians' Craig Howard (11) - with at least 10 hauls of five wickets during the 2010-19 decade.
To take the most wickets of the decade Taylor bowled the competition's most overs with 1894, followed by Burns (1743), Huntly-North and Strathdale-Maristians' Sam Johnston (1739) and Bendigo United's Miggy Podosky (1736).
Podosky ranks second for most wickets of the 2010-19 decade with 256, with a best of 7-25 against Bendigo in round four of 2012-13.
Podosky boasts the best performance with the ball in a final during the decade with his 7-49 against Strathdale-Maristians in a 2013-14 semi narrowly edging out the 7-50 taken by Bendigo's Alex Pearson in a 2017-18 semi, also against the Suns.
The evergreen Burns (233), Eaglehawk's Richard Tibbett (223) and Howard (221) round out the top five wicket-takers of the decade.
Among the bowlers who took at least 50 wickets for the decade, of which 59 qualify, the Eaglehawk trio of Shaun Knott (14.37), Cory Jacobs (15.27) and Andrew Smith (16.08) have the three best averages.
Jacobs has the best strike rate of 36.64 followed by Kangaroo Flat's Dylan Klemm (36.92), while left-arm Sandhurst spinner Sam Sperling has the best economy rate of 2.25 from 456 overs.
