Bendigo soccer product Mitch Graham made his Young Socceroos debut in Wednesday night's Asian Cup under-19 qualifier against Laos.
The 18-year-old played in defence in the 2-2 draw in Chinese Taipei.
The Young Socceroos looked down and out when Laos grabbed a 2-0 lead and defender Clifton Trewin was shown a red card.
However, the Australian squad fought back to score twice in the second half and share the points.
The next game of the qualification series is against Macau on Friday, before a clash with host nation Chinese Taipei on Sunday.
Australia can qualify for the 2020 under-19 Asian Cup by winning its group or by finishing as one of the four-best second-place sides.
