POLICE will lay charges after an allegedly drunk driver hit two parked cars in Kyneton on Wednesday night.
A woman will be charged after blowing almost four times over the legal limit after the crash on Simpson Street.
She was one of two drink drivers caught after the Kyneton Cup.
Police were called to Simpson Street, Kyneton, after a car hit two parked vehicles about 8.30pm.
The Malmsbury woman was found behind the wheel of her Holden Captiva, 600 metres away from the scene of a crash.
A fluid trail led police to the woman's car, which had suffered damage consistent with the collision. A breath test returned a reading of 0.190.
The woman in her 40s will be charged with exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol, leaving the scene of a crash and careless driving.
A man in his 20s has lost his licence for six months and been fined $496 dollars after breath test showed he was over the legal blood alcohol limit.
Police intercepted the Woodend man on Beauchamp Street, Kyneton, at 6.20pm, because his two passengers were not wearing seatbelts.
The man's blood alcohol reading was 0.075.
Police issued him with a first offence penalty notice.
