Bendigo's Mana Clark and Kangaroo Flat's Jasmine Nevins fell agonisingly short of centuries in BDCA junior action on Saturday.
Clark was left stranded on 99 not out after his side was bowled out for 208 by Sandhurst in the under-16A game at Weeroona College. Clark added 132 for the third wicket with Jaidyn Taylor (72).
Sandhurst leg-spinner Tyler Howard took 3-25. The Dragons will resume next Saturday at 0-33.
Nevins made 90 not out in the Roos' under-16 total of 7-293 against Strathdale-Maristians at Crusoe College. Team-mate Hayden Smith compiled an unbeaten 78.
