First up is an on the road re-match with the Melbourne Boomers and less than 24 hours later the Spirit hosts the Perth Lynx at the Bendigo Stadium.
One of the team's newest recruits Demi Skinner said the team was set for a challenging weekend.
"We will go into this round prepared," Skinner said.
"Tracy has given us plenty of things we need to work on.
"We're ready for what's to come this weekend."
Skinner made her season proper debut with the team last week against the Boomers, and made a big statement with an impressive performance.
Going into the game against the Boomers, the Spirit will be eager to get one back over their Melbourne rivals after losing to them by 15 points in round one, final scores 72-87.
"We know what they do...hopefully we come out to the game this time understanding the scouts better than last weekend," Skinner said.
When Skinner takes to the court, she has one thing on her mind.
"Just play hard and give it all I've got, play to my strengths and what I do well," Skinner said.
"I'm a shooting forward who can also play a few different positions."
Becca Tobin replaced
Bendigo Spirit has replaced import Tobin with Teige Morrell.
Morrell is a short-term injury replacement for Tobin who has been sidelined since last week after taking a knock to the head during a training session, also missing round one against the Melbourne Boomers.
Morrell comes to the Spirit with experience playing in the South Australian Premier League.
She has been described by the team as an active defender and possession player who is the ideal candidate to replace Tobin while she is out of action.
Morrell will make her debut with the team on Saturday night against the Boomers and will also be in action on the Spirit's home court on Sunday against Perth Lynx.
Spirit coach Tracy York said the other players made significant contributions in her absence last week.
"She was a big out for us, having played with her all pre-season, we went to plan B so contributions we got off the bench from Shyla Heal and Skinner (14 points each) were outstanding I thought," York said to the WNBL.
"Martè Grays (14 points) showed some promising and exciting signs too.
Grays said that she had never faced a double-header before this weekend.
"Usually, back in college there would be a day off between games," Grays said.
"But this is my first time ever with back-to-back games."
The Lynx are currently 1-1 after starting the season with a 17-point win over the Flames, final scores 79-62
On Thursday night the Lynx were defeated by the Southside Flyers by four points during overtime, final scores 93-97.
