"The aim every year is to showcase work by Bendigo artists so they get known and can sell some work," art prize coordinator Ian Smith said.
Among the paintings and photography, will be Lance Oliver's sculptures which are full of minute details. It is Mr Oliver's second year entering the prize after he learned about it when he began working at the church.
"The ceramic statues are hand crafted then everything else made using materials like wood, feathers, leather and things like that," he said. "The headdress and shield on one of these works took me 48 hours to make."
On Friday, Carolyn Marrone was named winner for her work titled Neighbours. Andrew howe was second for his self portrait. The secondary schools photography section was Amber Stephens.
Mr Oliver, his son Lance Oliver II, Geoff Paynter, Pauline Robinson, Maria Wallace and Carol Woodhams were all highly commended.
The St Paul's Art Prize exhibition is open on Saturday from 10am and Sunday from noon until 4pm.
