Dyett has been appointed as the club's under-18 football coach for the 2020 season.
He has decades of experience coaching, with time at Sandhurst, Kangaroo Flat, North Bendigo and was also senior assistant coach at Natte-Bealiba.
"The wheel has finally turned, the Eagles were the first team I ever played with as a junior football player," Dyett said.
Dyett said he enjoyed coaching players at a junior level.
"Premierships are important for the players, but for me at this age group to be involved with their football and social development is most important," he said.
"It's very important time for their development, physically, mentally and emotionally."
The Eagles will hold an information evening to meet Dyett on Wednesday October 9 at the clubs rooms at Marist College, 5pm.
"At the meeting I will outline my philosophies, tour the facilities and meet all the parents and players," Dyett said.
MGYCW president Chris Garlick said Dyett would bring extensive experience and talent to the club.
"It's truly fantastic to have someone of Ben's experience within the club for the 2020 season," Garlick said.
