In the first match the All-Stars defeated the Emeralds 5-3.
The Emeralds had an early lead thanks to top efforts from Kaila Borgomastro and Maddison Tabrett.
However, star performances from Japan's Hanabusa Nanako and Kawanaka Momo got them back level with the Emeralds.
Despite a challenge from the Australians, the All-Stars were able to see out the game.
In the second game the All-Stars defeated the Emeralds 14-9.
The event is a seven-game series played at Club Court Strathfieldsaye, with two games on Saturday at 11am and then 2.30pm, followed with the final match on Sunday at 9.30am.
