Police are continuing their investigation, after the incident in which a person broke into the Mitchell Street store at about 2am.
The man took several minutes to smash security glass at the front of the shop, police say.
He then broke open a locked cabinet and took a number of watches, which he put into a back pack he was wearing.
The burglar then broke into a second cabinet, taking bracelets, bangles, rings and necklaces.
He then left the shop and walked along Bath Lane.
Police say the man was tall and slim, wearing a black hoodie, black pants and carrying a camouflage-coloured backpack.
Police have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report online at crimestoppersvic.com.au.
