Two children have been taken to hospital for observation after a two-vehicle crash at Marong.
It is believed to be the third crash at the intersection of the Calder Highway and the Calder Alternate Highway since Thursday.
Emergency services were called to the intersection about 5.20pm on Sunday.
Bendigo Highway Patrol Leading Senior Constable Scott Andrews said a dual-cab ute travelling from Bridgewater was wishing to turn onto the Calder Alternate Highway towards Lockwood.
Police allege the ute collided with an oncoming vehicle, a white Audi, which was travelling from Bendigo towards Bridgewater.
"The allegation is that he turned in front of oncoming traffic," Leading Senior Constable Andrews said.
Police said the driver of the Audi, a 44-year-old woman, was not hurt.
The two children, aged 8 and 11, were passengers in the ute. They were traveling with their father, a 44-year-old man.
None of the persons involved are believed to have sustained serious injuries.
