As the Roos prepare for BFNL A-grade grand final battle against Sandhurst on Saturday, joint captain Chelsea Sartori indicated her side was keen to make up for lost time.
"I'm really excited - we haven't been here for a couple of years now, so we are really hungry to take it out," she said.
"We have a lot of girls, who haven't played in an A-grade premiership, so that's exciting.
"We have a bit of a new-look this year."
Sartori is one of three starters remaining from the Roos last premiership in 2016.
The others are midcourter Milly Wicks and defender Alicia McGlashan, who will be playing in a staggering 10th A-grade grand final and chasing her seventh premiership in the top grade.
Sartori and McGlashan were also members of the Roos' 2014 premiership win.
The co-captain believed McGlashan in particular would have a huge role to play against the Dragons and they dynamic goaling combination of Rebecca Smith and Heather Oliver.
"She has heaps of experience and is great under finals pressure, I'm sure she will have a great game on Saturday," she said.
Despite the closest battle among the top-four teams seen in many BFNL seasons, Sartori, who joined coach Jayden Cowling and co-captain Ingrid Hopkins at this week's grand final media conference, insisted the Roos had always felt confident about winning their way through to the big dance.
They did so with a 14-goal win over Eaglehawk last Saturday
"It was a great win, we really fought hard the whole game," Sartori said.
"When we played Sandhurst (in the semi-final), we probably only played a half; it was good to play a full four quarters.
"I'm sure if we play our best netball we can definitely take out."
The Roos have overcome some hardship through a season-ending injury to Kate Burton, prompting a reshuffle at the defensive end of the court.
One of those most affected by the changes, co-captain Hopkins, who has reverted from wing defence to her former goal defence role, believed the Roos had shown good ability to adapt during last weekend's win.
"In the last few seasons I have been playing at Kangaroo Flat, I have been playing goal defence, so I guess it's just a return back where I was playing," she said.
"I did miss the start of the year with a broken foot, so it was nice to ease into wing defence before going into goal defence.
"But with the team we have got, we have got a lot of experience and a lot of depth, which lends support to that type of shuffle around.
"Losing Kate is definitely a huge loss, but I feel we have depth to cover that."
Hopkins added Burton would continue to have a role in preparing the team for their battle against Sandhurst, which is chasing a three-peat of A-grade flags.
