A man and woman from the Bendigo area have received a combined 287 charges in relation to prolific statewide burglaries.

The incidents occurred between late June and early August this year, primarily from Bendigo and Melbourne homes and businesses.
The pair has allegedly stolen property valued at approximately $240,000.
The Central Victoria Response Unit executed several search warrants in relation to the alleged incidents and recovered a large amount of stolen items.
A 29-year-old woman - who is facing 152 charges - and a 30-year-old man - facing 135 charges - were arrested in Melbourne last month with the assistance of local units in the Fawkner area.
Both are currently on remand and will appear before the County Court a later date.
Investigators said they wish to thank the community for their assistance with information that lead to these arrests.
