THE former Exchange Bar and Brasserie in Bendigo has closed its doors.
It follows a successful application by Alinta Energy Retail Sales to have the company associated with the business, Three in a Room Pty Ltd, wound up.
Liquidators were appointed by order of the Supreme Court of Victoria last Wednesday.
The business, which is along the boardwalk at the Bendigo Bank Centre, ceased operating before the start of the next trading day.
Liquidators Pitcher Partners said a tally of the company's debts so far amounted to about $200,000.
Alinta Energy was owed about $15,000.
Other major creditors include the Australian Taxation Office and the landlord.
Andrew Yeo and Roberto Crispino, of Pitcher Partners, have encouraged any other creditors to contact their offices.
The liquidators are seeking to sell the business, which they say includes the adjoining cafe called The Bean Counter.
"We are hopeful of finding someone to take it on," Mr Yeo said.
The business has been known by a number of names.
It was recently renamed Bull & Bear Bendigo, though some of the signage outside the premises still bears The Exchange branding.
Past names include Wild Mint.
Mr Yeo and Mr Crispino said any other creditors could call them on 03 8610 5284.
