The ArtsACTION program from Jumpleads NFP will offer free upskilling and professional development services for creative people in central Victoria.
"This initiative is in its early stages and we're starting with some workshops, an online course and then a really interesting digital community to show the stories of the creatives," Jumpleads NFP's Karen Corr said.
"We're hoping it will grow from there and it will give opportunities and build those skills for creatives so they can be stronger in their promotion, in marketing, and in giving their work out.
"Hopefully it will build the arts sector in the region."
The program has been created in collaboration with the City of Greater Bendigo, the Mount Alexander Shire, Macedon Ranges Shire and the Hepburn Shire.
It offers three free half-day workshops and representation in a new digital platform called Regional Arts Park.
Bendigo Artist Inc's Sandra Hosking said the program would be beneficial for many creative people in the central Victoria.
"I think it's a great thing, especially being free, because one of the things that artists do struggle with is to go from being in the studio creating something to presenting it to the rest of the world," she said. "That's something that this program is about."
The program has been established thanks to a $20,000 grant from the federal government's Building Better Regions fund.
"The groups were very successful in their application to kick-start this project," Federal Member for Bendigo Lisa Chesters said.
"It is an innovative program and I can see that it will just grow from here."
The ArtsACTION program will run from September to April next year. Ms Corr said more information about the program can be found at www.popupart.com.au/artsaction/
