Baird and Welsh weren't reported during Sunday's elimination final win against Sandhurst, but officiating umpires laid charges on Monday after reviewing video evidence of two incidents.
Under league rules, officiating umpires have until noon on Monday to review games and place reports.
Baird was reported by central umpire Scott Baxter for engaging in rough conduct against Sandhurst's Jake McLean during the third quarter of Sunday's match.
Welsh was reported by central umpire Paul Smythe for intentionally striking Sandhurst's Andrew Collins also in the third quarter.
The Welsh-Collins incident came moments after Collins was reported for engaging in rough conduct against Welsh. Collins was shown a yellow card on the day and the Dragons were forced to play a man down for 15 minutes of game time plus time-on.
Collins has requested his charge be heard by the tribunal and that case will also be heard on Wednesday night.
Golden Square will be sweating on the outcome of the cases ahead of its first-semi-final clash with Gisborne at the QEO on Sunday.
In a busy week for the BFNL tribunal, Eaglehawk's Cam McGlashan will have his striking charge heard on Tuesday night.
The Borough big man was reported by goal umpire Brian Davey for striking Gisborne's Ryan Baker in the first quarter of Saturday night's qualifying final.
McGlashan and the Hawks were informed by umpires of the report at quarter-time on Saturday night and the key forward/ruckman sat out the opening 15 minutes plus time on of the second term.
Eaglehawk plays Strathfieldsaye in this Saturday night's second semi-final.
