THERE'S a saying that if you keep banging on the door long enough, eventually it will open.
Mitiamo will be knocking again on Saturday in yet another Loddon Valley league premiership opportunity for the Superoos, who are preparing for their fourth grand final in the past five years when they meet Pyramid Hill at Calivil.
However, the Superoos have been thwarted previously by Bridgewater in 2015 and 2016 and Newbridge last year - all campaigns where Mitiamo had won its way through from the elimination final - leaving 2009 as their last premiership season.
This time though it has been a far less strenuous path through to the grand final for the Superoos, co-coached by Andy Grant and Tyrone Downie.

The Superoos finished second on the ladder before disposing of Bears Lagoon-Serpentine by 49 points in the qualifying final and Pyramid Hill by 22 in the second semi-final to earn a week's freshen up.
From day one of 2019 the Superoos have been touted as a team to beat - Grant said in the pre-season preview "there's no excuses this year" and his side has played accordingly.

The Superoos boast strength all over the ground, with their midfield led by Harding medallist Terry Reeves and is stacked with experience, with prime-movers Doug Thomas and Lucas Matthews both having also featured prominently and Michael I'Anson tireless in the ruck.
The forward line has garnered plenty of attention and boasts a quartet of players with at least 28 goals - former coach Justin Maddern (44), Downie (40), Ryan Wellington (33) and Dylan Clohesy (28) having posed plenty of match-up headaches for opposition defences.

But it's down the other end where the Superoos have been perhaps unheralded, with Mitiamo boasting the competition's No.1 ranked defence that has conceded an average of just 57 points per game.
However, it's not just the capacity to shut down opposition scoring, it's the springboard from the back half through the likes of Luke Lougoon, Ash Benbow, Kyle Patten and co that has made the Superoos such a dangerous commodity.
Only Patten, Tom Grant and Aaron McKean are still playing from the 2009 flag.
