The Demons opened their campaign with an impressive 58-34 win over Maiden Gully YCW, capitalising on a quickfire start to advance to this weekend's first-semi final against Newbridge on Sunday at Mitiamo.
But if the Demons are to progress further in the finals race, they will need to do something they have been unable to achieve this season and overcome the Maroons, who are seeking to bounce back from a qualifying final loss to perennial powerhouse Mitiamo.
Newbridge won the teams' opening round encounter by eight goals, and repeated the dose to the tune of 18 goals in round 10.
But with a full complement of starters and five bench players at their disposal, Demons netball manager Karen Pascoe believes they will have their best shot all season at upsetting the Maroons.
"Hopefully last week's win wa s a bit of confidence for the girls .... Newbridge will be a tough game, so hopefully we can continue with the form," she said.
"Newbridge was really on-song that last game and did everything right, so it will be a tough ask for our girls."
Pascoe praised Newbridge for being strong across the court, with the pace and smarts of Alyssa Cole and Rachel Pettifer definite causes for concern for the Demons.
On Saturday, a grand final berth will be up for grabs when minor premiers Bridgewater and Mitiamo clash at Serpentine.
The Mean Machine will be having their first hit-out since August 3, which happened to be a 21 goal defeat to the Superoos.
It was the reigning premiers' only loss this season and interest surrounds how they will bounce back.
Mitiamo will enter the game with assurance after an 18 goal win over Newbridge and has undoubtedly gotten stronger as the season has gone deeper.
