Come the final quarter they were in full swing with another three goals and two behinds to secure the win, final scores 6.8 (44) over 2.2 (14).
"Unfortunately we had to finish with a loss, it would have been nicer to be a little bit further into the finals after losing in the same preliminary against the same team last year," North Bendigo coach Alana Long said.
"But overall we had a really good season, and the team has improved so much since last year."
The Storm's Alice Bailey and Grace Edlin led goalkicking with two each.
While Edlin, who was celebrating her 100th game with the Storm, was named on best on ground.
