The Golden Square Pool is being officially recognised for its contribution to the community, having been named a finalist in the Victorian Regional Achievement and Community Awards.
The pool is in the running for the Community Group Award, which is awarded to groups that "play a vital role in enhancing the social, economic, commercial and environmental prosperity of their region".
President Sam Kane said the nomination recognised the hard work of the pool's volunteers.

"Our volunteers, from the moment we saved the pool in 2013, have worked tirelessly each and every day to grow this facility into a vibrant community recreation space that means something to our suburb," he said.
"Throughout summer our volunteers give collectively over 1000 hours of their time, and even more during the off season, to ensure that this space is the best it can be, and provides something meaningful for residents."
Mr Kane said the facility had become more than simply a pool, but a community gathering place.
The award winners will be announced in October.
