Sharp finished the game with 11 goals in total, and for a brief moment after a few missed set shots, it looked as if the celebrations were going to have to wait until the round 16 game next week against Castlemaine.
But in the last few minutes Sharp got the job done, with the crowd spilling onto the field to celebrate.
However, Sharp's mind is focused on the remainder of the season.
"It was good to get it out of the way, and get on with the season, we've got bigger things coming," Sharp said.
Milestone aside, Sharp was happy with how his squad composed themselves throughout the game against the Roos.
"Our side we have at the moment, young guys, old guys, we're all playing our roles and hopefully things comes together at the right time of the year," he said.
"We really gelled today, the mid-fielders were outstanding and the delivery was fantastic.
"This is what we play for, play with our mates and enjoy it, it was good to get the win."
A 100th season goal milestone is not new to Sharp, who achieved the same feat with the Storm in 2017.
Storm coach Troy Coates said Sharp was an integral member of the team.
"He's a unique player, for his size, he's not the traditional big key forward but he gets the job done every week," Coates said.
"He kept us on edge, with a few points in a row on 10 goals, but he got it done with three minutes to go."
In addition to his star status on the the senior squad, "Sharpy" plays an integral role to help inspire the club's junior players.
"There was a big crowd there today with a lot of kids," Coates said.
"There's no one on our side who is better with the kids, what Sharpy puts back into junior footy and how open he is to help with the kids is amazing, so to see them all run out there to celebrate his 100th was a great moment."
Meanwhile, Storm's Fergus Payne played his 100th senior game for the club.
Payne has been a dedicated member of the club since his junior years and is a two-time premiership player with the Storm.
The Storm (14-1) defeated the Roos (4-11) with ease, limiting the visitors to just one goal, final scores 29.22 (196) over 1.5 (11).
"We played good team footy and to keep them to just one goal showed that defensively we were really good," Coates said.
"The boys' fitness is really strong at the moment and they're running over the top of other sides.
"We used to fade away in the last quarter, but now we're always finishing off games well."
