DETECTIVES have appealed to the driver of a Toyota HiLux dual cab ute to come forward.
Police do not believe the driver was involved in the offending in Maryborough early on Saturday morning.
However, they believe the driver, who was travelling along Alma Street at 3.21am in an older model ute without a canopy, might have seen the culprit.
An offender slashed more than 70 tyres, cut light bar cables and scratched vehicles throughout Maryborough from 3am onwards on Saturday.

POLICE are retracing the a tyre-slasher's steps after the offender caused an estimated $20,000 worth of damage in Maryborough.
Officers have spent the weekend gathering CCTV footage of a person who damaged tyres at businesses and homes around town.
Police are yet to identify the hooded offender, who they believe is male and acted alone, Detective Senior Constable Scott De La Rue said.
"If people saw anything suspicious when they were driving around town Saturday morning it would be worth getting in touch with us," the the Central Goldfields Crime Investigation Unit officer said.

A CAR dealership's damage bill could be between $10,000 and $12,000 after a suspected tyre-slashing crime spree.
More than 60 per cent of the vehicles in Maryborough Toyota's yard were targeted overnight, branch manager Chris Keen said.
The crimes would affect more than just business bottom lines, he said.
"We try to do as much as we can in the community through sponsorships. But this is a small town and we (car dealerships) are not equipped to cop $10,000 or $14,000 damages like this," Mr Keen said.
Footage published on Maryborough Toyota's Facebook page shows someone walking through the lot slashing tyres.
Maryborough Toyota was one of four businesses where tyres were slashed.
Graham Jacka Holden is also contemplating how it will cover costs, given insurance for malicious damage will likely not cover total costs for 14 tyres slashed at its lot, owner Ken Jacka said.
"The money has got to come from somewhere and unfortunately the low-hanging fruit is sponsorships," he said.
Mr Jacka was shocked by the crime.
"It's down-heartening. You put a lot into the community and you don't expect to be treated this way," he said.
