Third-placed Kyneton overcame a slow start to edge out fifth-placed St Therese's.
The Tigers trailed three goals to one at quarter time, but bounced back to win 8.4 (52) to 5.2 (32).
Hagan Freeman was superb for the Tigers, kicking four goals, while Angus Mills won plenty of the ball as well.
The Sharks were best served by Jack McCarthy and Oscar McNamara.
A standout performance from Jonty Davis was the highlight of Maiden Gully YCW's win over Strathfieldsaye.
The Eagles' Jonty Davis kicked all six of his side's goals in the 6.8 (44) to 5.4 (34) win. Darby Brown was also instrumental in the win.
Strathfieldsaye's best were Jaidi Jackson-Leahy and Logan Mayman.
In under-14 seniors, Strathfieldsaye was held goalless after half-time, but still managed to defeat Sandhurst by one point in a thriller.
The Storm won 4.6 (30) to 3.11 (29), with Zac Grieve and Jedd O'Keefe playing great games.
The wayward Dragons were well served by Tait Poyser and Tobie Travaglia.
Golden Square proved too strong for Kyneton.
Bailey Cain and Tom Dillon kicked five goals each for the Dogs and Zac Tickell and Harrison Kelly picked up plenty of possessions.
In the under-16 seniors, Sandhurst inflicted Strathfieldsaye's first defeat of the season.
The Dragons won stylishly 13.4 (82) to 5.13 (43). James Barri and Wil Tuohey led the charge for the Dragons, while Tom Benett and Jake Gamble tried hard for the Storm.
In the other game, Harry Law and Noah Furlong kicked 11 goals between them and Macey Eaton was best on ground as Golden Square defeated Kangaroo Flat 17.12 (114) to 2.5 (17). Toby Roberts and Tom Perrin were best for the Roos.
In the under-15 girls the closest margin was 16 points.
Strath Thunder defeated Golden Square 3.6 (24) to 1.2 (8) thanks to fine efforts from Pearl Sullivan and Alana Hancock. Zoe Westbrook and Ava Dole were best for Square.
A brilliant seven-goal haul from Keely Fullerton led Eaglehawk to a 9.13 (67) to 4.0 (24) win over Kangaroo Flat.
Tia Davidge bagged six goals in South Bendigo's 11.12 (78) to 2.2 (14) win over White Hills.
Jeanette Ross was a standout for the Bloods, while Acacia Edwards and Keira Long played well for the Demons.
Unbeaten Sandhurst outclassed Strath Storm 17.24 (126) to no score. Lucia Painter was best afield with four goals and Josie Fenwick kicked five goals. Storm's best were Bella Benetti and April Gamble.
