The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is changing lives of people with disability living in the Bendigo region.
As of March 31, 2019, more than 4000 people with disability in the Loddon region, covering the Campaspe, Central Goldfields, Greater Bendigo, Loddon, Mt Alexander and Macedon Ranges local government area, are receiving supports through the NDIS.

Of these local NDIS participants 1805 are children aged 18 and under, with 606 children receiving supports for the first time.

Across Victoria, more than 71,000 people with disability are now benefitting from the NDIS with the total number of participants nationwide at over 277,000.
In Victoria, 86 percent of participants describe their experience with the NDIS planning process as good or very good, with over seven in 10 participants aged 25 and over saying the NDIS has given them more choice and control.
Importantly, 94 percent of Victorian parents with children aged 0-6 on the Scheme say the NDIS has helped with their child's daily living in their second year of receiving supports.
