In arguably their best performance of the season, the Braves won every quarter and cruised to an 84-67 win in enemy territory.
The victory saw the Braves lock down eighth spot on the NBL1 ladder, while the result cost the Supercats the double-chance and they slipped from fourth to sixth.
The eighth-placed Braves will now play the fifth-placed Melbourne Tigers in an elimination final in Melbourne next Sunday.
With their season on the line on Saturday night the Braves needed their best players to stand up against Geelong and they did just that.
The Braves' big three - Mathiang Muo, Ray Turner and Deonte Burton - combined for 63 points, 23 rebounds and 10 assists in a dominant display.
Muo, in particular, was outstanding. He scored 30 points on 10-15 shooting, including four three-pointers.
Turner continued his great form with 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Burton played his best all-round game for some time, contributing 13 points, six boards and six assists.
Defensively, the Braves restricted the Supercats to just 67 points at 34 per cent from the field.
Meanwhile, the Braves women cemented the minor premiership with a commanding 88-58 win over Geelong.
The 30-point thumping gave the Braves a 19-1 record for the season - two games clear of Geelong.
The Braves set up their win with a 25-14 first term.
Gabriella Turner 23 points, Gabe Richards (22) and Kelly Wilson (21) tore the Supercats' defence apart.
With the Australian Opals having a training camp scheduled next week, the NBL1 women's play-offs have been delayed a week.
The top-of-the-table Braves host fourth-placed Kilsyth in a qualifying final at Bendigo Stadium on Friday, August 2.
If the Braves win they'll advance directly to the preliminary final.
The NBL1 play-offs format works the same as the AFL finals series.
The top four teams earn a double-chance, while the bottom four teams play elimination finals.
