Lottery officials have revealed the mystery winner of a $36.7 million Powerball prize purchased their lucky ticket at a Gisborne shop.
The unregistered division-one winning entry was sold at Mid-Town Lotto in Gisborne Central Shopping Centre.
Officials urge anyone who purchased a ticket from the shop to check their ticket immediately.
Mid-Town Lotto owner John Kelly said it was the first division one entry his shop had sold since he purchased it in 2001.
"Something like this is always great news in a town like ours," Mr Kelly said.
"My staff will be thrilled when I tell them as they've put in such a big effort this week.
"It's been so busy leading up to the Powerball draw."
The unknown winner was one of three to share in this week's $110 million Powerball jackpot, each claiming $36,666,666.67.
The other winners have already been identified: an Adelaide man, and a couple from Sydney.
