Planning Panels Victoria will hold a three-day hearing about a proposed solar farm in Baringhup at the Bill Woodfull Reserve on July 15 and 16 and on July 23 at a venue to be confirmed.
The panel will review the application, hear submissions and expert witness statements, before preparing a report and recommendation for the Minister for Planning.
Eight requests to be heard have come from objectors, the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and Mount Alexander Shire Council.
E-waste bin ban begins
Bendigo residents can no longer put e-waste items in landfill sites or kerbside bins.
E-waste is any item with a plug, battery or cord that is no longer working or wanted.
As of July 1, these types of items can no longer be placed in kerbside bins and instead must go to a designated e-waste drop-off point.
E-waste can be taken to the Heathcote, Goornong and Strathfieldsaye transfer stations for free from July 1st as well as the Eaglehawk Recycle Shop.
