POLICE have fined the driver of a truck that got stuck under Golden Square's Laurel Street bridge at lunchtime on Monday.
The driver will have to pay an $826 fine for disobeying road signs, after he attempted to drive the vehicle under the bridge.
The bridge has a 3.2-metre clearance.
The truck is now free.
Police said it was an inconvenience to attend jobs for trucks stuck under bridges.
No one was injured in the incident.

A TRUCK is wedged stuck underneath a bridge in Golden Square.
Police are on scene in Laurel Street, along with an extra-large tow truck.
Laurel Street is blocked to drivers at Allingham Street and Panton Street.
V/Line staff members are examining the tracks on the bridge, but no services are delayed.
Truck drivers frequently seem to have issues with bridges in Bendigo.
In March, a truck got stuck underneath the Chapel Street bridge. The same thing had happened in April 2018, and in July and October of 2017.
Also in 2017, one driver failed to adhere to clearance signs in June and got stuck under the Laurel Street bridge. Another truck had become wedged under the bridge in April 2016.
