The region's wet weather made play difficult across the Loddon Valley Football Netball League games.
But it didn't stop Mitiamo from launching an eleventh hour comeback in the final quarter to secure a five-goal win over Newbridge, final scores 49-44.
The Superoos (9-2) went into the last quarter five-goals down to the Maroons (7-3), but after some changes they managed to come fighting back to secure the win.
"I made some changes and got the girls to settle and not panic and take every opportunity they could to get goals," Mitiamo coach Kylie Piercy said.
One of the biggest challenges for both teams was the extreme weather.
"It was really cold and windy for the first three quarters and then in the last it came down," Piercy said.
"We just missed out on all of the thunder and lighting which was good timing."
