The Bendigo Braves women have secured a spot in the NBL1 finals following the team's ten-point win over the Ballarat Rush.

The only other team in the league to have also locked in an early finals spot are the Geelong Supercats.
"It's a step in the right direction and we're excited about it," Braves' Becca Tobin said.
"Geelong are a really good team and it's exciting to know we will be playing against them - we match up with them pretty well."
The league has four more rounds to play before finals commence on July 26.
The Braves women sit second on the ladder with a 14-1 record, behind Geelong (15-1) in the top spot.
The only loss in the Braves women's season so far came from the claws of the Supercats in round six when they went down by 16 points, final scores 95-111.
Moving ahead to finals the Braves women will look to continue refining their ability as a team, with communication as a key focus.
"We need to work on communication...and if we can get our defence going we can run off that," Tobin said.
However, the team's overall success keeps the team's momentum flowing.
"It's easy because the girls are so fun to play with and nobody cares who gets the credit, we're all out there having fun.
"We have some really good talent and we're coming together well as a team."
The match against the Rush also marked the first on-court appearance for Tess Madgen.
"She's doing really well. The chemistry is coming along and will only get better the more we play and practice."
Meanwhile the men put up a hard-fought effort against the Ballarat Miners, but fell by four points, final scores 84-88.
"We're disappointed we didn't get the result," Braves' Mathiang Muo said.
"But we will take the good out of the bad and keep improving."
Muo said there were several aspects of the game which the team could've "executed a little better".
"There were a few things we could've done better in the last few minutes and that's why we come back here to practice, learn from it and hopefully we don't make the same mistakes again."
The men sit ninth on the ladder with a 7-8 record, but are still in the running for a spot in the finals.
"Our focus from now until the end of the season is to win the next five games, " Muo said. "That will give us a chance to be in the play offs, we just have to win the next few games as there are other teams which have the same record.
"We will make sure we win and hope luck is on our side."
