Herbert is competing in the 2019 BMW International Open this week, one of Germany's most prestigious tournaments.
The Neangar Park product will tee up in round one of the European Tour event at 4pm AEST today alongside Robert Macintyre (SCO) and Jordan Smith (ENG) at the Golf Club Munchen Eichenreid.
Herbert competed in the 2018 tournament, but missed the cut after rounds of 73 and 78.
Defending champion Matt Wallace (ENG) finished the tournament last year at 10-under par and will be in the mix with the aim of securing back-to-back victories.
After Herbert's most recent performance at the Made in Denmark where he missed the cut after rounds of 69 and 76 he is currently ranked 107th in the world and 110th on the Race to Dubai standings with 229.5 points.
