The 22-year-old has been selected in the Australian Dolphins team to compete at next month's World Championships in South Korea.
Australian selectors rewarded Strauch for her performances at last week's trials.
Strauch finished second in the 100m breaststroke and third in the 200m breatstroke.
Strauch won the 200m breatstroke final at the national titles earlier this year and her time of 2:24.88 is the fastest by an Australian this year.
She's also a chance to swim in the medley relays in South Korea.
Competing at the world championships is another step towards Strauch's ultimate dream of representing Australia at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
With the Tokyo Olympics in mind, the Australian team for the World Championships will mirror the preparation they will undertake for the Tokyo Olympics next year.
The Australian Dolphins swim team will head to Cairns for a staging camp in the coming weeks, before moving to Nagaoka in Japan to train, and then travelling onto to Gwangju in South Korea for the championships beginning on July 21.
It's been a big week for Strauch.
On top of selection for the world titles, she graduated from Bond University on the Gold Coast with a Biomedical Science degree.
