From giant hula hoops, to circus tricks, games and drawing, the Connected Circus had it all set out for families in Rosalind Park as part of the Bendigo Easter Festival.
Owner Vern Hardie said the space was about giving kids an active option to enjoy themselves, and create an place where they can try new things.
"Kids get really scared of getting it wrong, so this is a space to practise being resilient," he said."
"Here you're doing something active."
And the space was for parents as much as kids, Mr Hardie said.
He'd even made specially dad-sized hula-hoops, so fathers could join in with their kids.
Mr Hardie had noticed one mum who'd sat down to draw with her young daughter. The daughter had gone to try another activity, but the mum kept drawing.
"How often does that happen?," Mr Hardie said.
